Soller Dancers

Soller in Majorca has a rich history and culture which is maintained and captured vividly in the many traditional events. The Firo and battles between the Crusaders and Saracens is just one of many and you can guarantee to find the locals will take to dancing in the main square on many occasions and all year round.

The thing that impresses one is that the all want to take part, old, young, women, men and the enjoyment of just dancing is infectious. They also love to dress up in their traditional outfits.

I hope this painting and others i will create starts to show the style of dance and dress and their love of the dance.
