The Cat , The Fishermen and The Soller Pink Shrimps

This is going to be my next painting and i am very excited to start it and hopefully complete it. This is just the outline sketch and may well change as paint hits the canvas. The work will be based on a scene in Port of Soller when the fishermen have returned and are busy sorting out the pink shrimps on the boat's deck. A painstaking task as each has to be assessed and put into the appropriate box and what fish are in the catch removed.

The scene is one we saw this March and was memorable due to the cat that sat patiently on the quayside watching, hoping but knowing his place.
