Las ovejas miran fijamente a los visitantes de su montaña (sheep stare at visitors to their mountain

Wow its a year since i wrote my last article and i had a lean spell seeking inspiration to paint and this was one of only two paintings i did in the later part of last year.

However, i find it a compelling picture and

one which captures the eyes of the sheep as they kindly tell you who owns the mountains. Often they run away and avoid eye contact and all that you see is a round woolly bum rushing away and hear the clanging of their bell. Sometimes they stand their ground and sometimes they venture to you.

These are lower down the mountain and hence the oranges hanging on the trees.
