Gallo en las naranjas en Fornalux
This time of year the Soller Valley is heavily laden with Oranges (naranjas) and Lemon (limon). The trees seem to occupy evey available piece of land and there is no better start to the day than freshly juiced Soller oranges and capturing tis abundance is a must for any artist and photographer visiting the Valley. One of my favourite walks is from Calla Luna towards the beautiful village of Fornalux. When you peer over dry stone walls into the citrus groves you often find sheep or poultry sharing the shade of the trees and their fruit. This composition is one that combines the grove, the proud Cock and family and the piping which laid out to water the trees.
